A Tale of Two Cities: Rotterdam & Los Angeles

The very first cross-continental production of Poetry International offers spoken word on a level that we do not see often enough. A spectacular three-way collaboration with LA-based poets, Poetry Circle and Poetry International, in which American poets and Dutch alumni of Poetry Circle Rotterdam will come together to tell a tale of two cities through original poems created together across the Atlantic Ocean.

In de afgelopen maanden hebben oud-deelnemers van Poetry Circle 010 Benzokarim, Sorayaspeaking, Luc Howie Duzzith en Jackie Ashkin gedichten uitgewisseld met Los Angeles-based dichters uit het collectief GetLit,

In het werk doen ze een onderzoek naar de verschillen en overeenkomsten tussen Los Angeles en Rotterdam: wat moet je met de grootte, waar vind je rust, hoe verhoud je je tot de rest van de wereld en waar put je inspiratie uit?
